VAN — The Brownsboro Bears rallied in the fourth quarter to score a 39-36 win over the Lindale Eagles on Saturday in the Van-Farmers Basketball Invitational at Van High School. Gage Wehrmann led the Bears (4-4) with 13 points. He was followed by Cole Williams (6), Aaron Johnson (5), Aidan Hardin (4), Jarrod Hastings (4), Michael Fitzgerald (4) and Colby Wood (3). Wood made a 3-pointer. Lindale (5-3) was paced by Colton Taylor (11), Jacob Koeshall (10) and Josiah Macevicious (9). Kobe Scott and Jaymond Jackson added four and two points, respectively. Macevivious hit three 3-pointers. Brownsboro is scheduled to host Grace Community at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Bears will then host the annual Great East Texas Shootout Dec. 12-14. Brownsboro is set to play Buffalo at 12:15 p.m. Thursday at the high school gym. Lindale is also slated to play in the GETSO. The Eagles are scheduled to face Sunnyvale at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the elementary school.
