BROWNSBORO 15, WILLS POINT 7
WILLS POINT — Johnny Surlet went 4 for 4 and teammates Kelton Jay and Braydon Ballard each drove in four runs as the Brownsboro Bears defeated the Wills Point Tigers 15-7 on Tuesday in a District 14-4A baseball game.
Ballard had a triple, double and single for the Bears with Carson Booth and Jay hitting triples.
Gage Wehrman had three hits, along with Booth. Jay had two hits while teamates Hayden Woods and Hunter Bishop had one each.
Others driving in runs were Woods (2) and Surlet (1). Booth scored five runs with Surlet crossing the plate three times. Others scoring were Jay (2), Jarrod Hastings (2), Wehrman (1), Michael McCallie (1) and Gage Connor (1).
Ballard got the win on the mound, going six innings while allowing seven hits and six runs (4 earned). He stuck out seven and walked one. McCallie pitched the seventh, allowing two hits and an unearned run.
Seth Wilson led the Tigers with three hits, including a double. Sam Berberich, Aaron Hardman and Dylen Hoover each had doubles. Berberich and Hardman each had two hits with Josh Karr and Dylen Hoover adding singles. Tigers with RBIs were Wilson, Berberich, Gentry Stevens, Karr and Hoover.
Scoring runs for Wills Point were Berberich (2), Wilson (1), Karr (1), Christian Zincle (1), Hoover (1) and Josh Brogden (1).
Brownsboro (18-1-1, 3-1) is scheduled to host unbeaten Canton at 7 p.m. Friday.
