Brownsboro coach wins 50th straight district game

BROWNSBORO COACH WINS 50TH STRAIGHT DISTRICT GAME

Brownsboro 78, Canton 52 BROWNSBORO — Kevon Thompson and Kenneth Woods celebrated “Senior Night” and helped their coach, Brent Smith, reached a milestone of 50 consecutive league wins. Thompson hit for 32 points and Woods added 25 as the Brownsboro Bears defeated the Canton Eagles 78-52 on Friday in a District 13-4A boys basketball game. The Bears improve to 19-5 on the season and 7-0 in league play. It is the 33rd straight district win for the Bears under Smith. Previously Smith was at Troup where he led the Tigers won 17 consecutive district games. Jared Gailey also added 10 points for the Bears. Kyler Keller led the Eagles with 10 points, while Kyle Rose-Peterson had eight points.
