BEARS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN DISTRICT WITH WIN OVER WILLS POINT
The Brownsboro Bears continue to roll in district play as they defeated the Wills Point Tigers, 52-31, Tuesday.
With the victory, coach Brent Smith's team is 18-5 overall and 6-0 in district play. Wills Point is 1-5 in district play.
Brownsboro was led by Kenneth Woods with a game-high 17 points. Jared Gailey had 12, Jarrod Hastings had five, while Kevon Thompson, Ashton Williams, Tylor Johnson and Izik Boykin had four points each.
Wills Point was led by Demontre Hill with nine, Tyler James with seven, Peyton Scarborough with six, Jacob Moore and Preston Binder with four and Josh Davis with one.
In the junior varsity game, Brownsboro won 58-29, while the Bears freshman won 33-29.
Brownsboro is scheduled back in action Friday against Canton at 7:30 p.m.
Brownsboro beats Wills Point in district play
The Brownsboro Bearettes improved to 17-14 and 2-6 in district play with a 53-32 victory over Wills Point Tuesday.
McKenzie Smith led the Bearettes in scoring with 12 points. Tay Tay Limbrick had eight, Morgyn Fulgham, Alexis Hambrick and Emma McCoy had six, Christon Downey had five, Katelyn England had three and Aleaiah Williams had one.
In the junior varsity game, Brownsboro won by a score of 44-33.
Brownsboro is scheduled to be back in action Friday against Canton starting at 5 p.m.
Malakoff beats Elkhart
The Malakoff Tigers defeated the Elkhart Elks, 56-42, Tuesday in district action.
The Tigers were led by Jaquaylon Hart with 11 points. Andreas Garrett had 10, Jake Lee had nine, Casey Wilson had seven, Kadderious Thomas had six, Dedric Davis and RJ Carr had five and Klayton Copeland had three.
